We structure all of our recruiting strategies individually for each position and dependent on the type of recruiting our client wishes us to perform. The two primary methods we use are:

For many of our searches at Senior level, our clients want to be sure that the candidates not only meet the skill requirements, but also exhibit values and behaviors that matches the company culture.

Using our copyrighted Skill & Behavioral modeling techniques* we :

●  Develop highly accurate models identifying the most important behaviors, values and skills required to ensure the correct match for the client.

● Develop new comprehensive Job Descriptions incorporating the model to act as the benchmark for hiring and promotion.

● Conduct a customized behavioral recruitment to synchronize the individual skills, core values, and behaviors for each candidate to those required by the company.

 

For all our skill recruiting we follow a very specific and successful format:

● Fully understand the job requirements and the
required profile of the candidates.

● Quantify the required success factors for the job   
over the first 18 months.

● Develop a ‘search’ strategy for each job.
● Identify candidates.

● Filter and qualify each potential candidate to  
meet the required profile of the job.

● Submit only a few, high qualified individuals for consideration.

Senior management positions in today’s tough business environment are more complex in nature than ever before. The combination of intellectual demands, interpersonal skills and vision requirements already make for challenging requirements in making a successful appointment. In addition, the need for today’s executives to fit into a company culture and mesh with their peers is arguably as important as companies strive for cohesive and sustainable teams to conquer the business challenges.

Offered in combination with our Skill & Behavioral Modeling and Recruiting, or as a standalone service, DB Edwards has developed with Dr. John Orr* a highly accurate Assessment process for senior management appointments or promotions.

In addition to senior management positions, DB Edwards has developed a fully automated on-line assessment approach that can apply in circumstances where high volumes of applications are received for limited jobs (e.g.: Plant start-ups) and there is a need to  simply identify candidates that meet required behaviors, values and skills before moving into an interview phase.

* Dr. John Orr provides a full time on-line Management Assessment program for all of our clients. He is an Industrial and Organizational Psychologist by training with over 20 years in his field. Dr.Orr holds a PhD from the University of Illinois at Chicago where he resides and is President at Rogala & Orr, Inc. (ROI).
